Export of hazardous cargo to China


Due to the worse accident caused by hazardous cargo in the port of Xingang/Tianjin on 12th of August, 2015, Chinese authorities have prohibited the import of dangerous cargo in general or have restricted the import of hazardous cargo.

We herewith would like to give you an overview about the limitations and changes.

Shanghai:

Following DG Classes will still be accepted: 3, 8, 9
When you are booking DG cargo of Class 3, 8, 9 please send us the dangerous goods declaration followed by the Material Safety Data sheet in English language for pre-approval.

Following Dangerous Goods Classes are not accepted for LCL Import in Shanghai at the moment:
1, 2, 4, 5.2, 6.1, 7

Hong Kong:

No changes for the LCL Import of dangerous goods, you can place your bookings as usual – subject to carrier approval.


To the following destinations the shipping of any kind of dangerous cargo is currently not possible on LCL Basis:

Xingang/Tianjin, Qingdao, Ningbo, Shenzhen, Xiamen, Nanjing, Dalian.

For all other destinations we provide in transshipment, dangerous goods can be handled on request.
