Export LCL - Seasonal Fumigation Australia and New Zealand

Dear valued Customer,

as you already know the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Foresty(DAFF) as well as the Ministry for Primary Industries have finalized the seasonal measures for the 2024-25 BMSB risk season to prevent the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug from entering the Australian and New Zealand ecosystem.

For Australia these requirements apply to cargo shipped from origin as of September 1st, 2024 and up to departure from Germany April 30th,2025.
For New Zealand these requirements apply to cargo shipped from origin as of September 1st, 2024 until ETA at New Zealand waters of April 30th, 2025.

We would like to inform you here with that as of September 1st,2024, all our LCL Export containers for Australia and New Zealand will be treated with Sulfuryl Fluoride (SF).
We have chosen this type of treatment prior to sailing, as treatment on arrival may result in significant delays in delivery of the goods for up to 4 weeks, as well as additional costs such as storage fees that maybe incurred caused by the delay.

As a result, the following commodities can be accepted in our LCL Export containers only on request:
-Food for human consumption(including beverages) and food additives
-Seeds for sowing
-Registered Pharmaceuticals

The costs for the fumigation of € 36,-w/m (Minimum € 75,-) will be charged to you and are part of the FOB Charges.

For treatment of shipments loaded via Rotterdam or Antwerp, the same conditions will apply, but charges will be different and on request.
