Export LCL Baltimore - Bridge collapse / Consequences for our direct service

As you have probably already heard from the media, an accident occurred in the port of Baltimore in the early hours of 26 March 2024.
A container ship rammed the Francis Scott Key Bridge, which immediately collapsed and is now blocking the entrance to the port. Unfortunately, this forces us to temporarily suspend our direct service and route cargo for Baltimore via New York until further notice.
The booking or releasing processes will not change for you, but we will have to slightly increase the sea freight rates for future Baltimore bookings and also implement an IT fee for transit handling. For shipments containing dangerous goods or oversized packages, additional charges will apply.

We thank you for your understanding.
